Independently audited and certified

Delivering consistently high quality is not enough for us. We think it’s vital to have this commitment regularly reviewed by respected independent organisations. As a result, we have been certified multiple times – a distinction that also drives us to keep improving.

Our certifications send a clear message about Healthcare Convention’s dedication to quality assurance and to continually improving our services. The standards behind these certifications are fully integrated into our daily work, sparking ongoing improvement. Our top priority is client satisfaction – achieved through transparent processes, consistent optimisation, enhanced process performance and cost efficiency.

Regular audits of all processes help ensure compliance, minimise risks and actively counter operational blind spots before they can take hold.

AKG compliance

Effective compliance management

The AKG Compliance Seal is a guarantee that a company’s operations meet strict compliance standards. It affirms that certified organisations operate with clear processes, transparency and fairness in their dealings. Back in 2011, we became the first agency in Germany to be certified by the AKG as a credible and experienced partner in the healthcare sector. The certification process assessed us against 200 criteria drawn from the code of conduct. We were once again awarded the AKG seal in 2024, confirming our ongoing commitment to consistent and reliable compliance. The most recent audit covered 250 criteria.

ISO 20121 in audit

Sustainable event management

ISO 20121 certification proves that a company meets internationally recognised standards for sustainable event management. What marks out ISO 20121 is that it covers all three pillars of sustainability: environmental protection, social impact and economic factors – each considered throughout the entire lifecycle of an event. This standard helps companies and organisations of all types and sizes to plan, execute and evaluate their events responsibly, minimising their impact on the environment and society while maximising the event’s overall value.

ISO 9001

Excellent process and service quality

The aim of ISO 9001 is to improve the quality of products, processes and services within a company and, by streamlining current working procedures, to increase productivity while reducing waste. Regular surveillance audits by experienced QAS International auditors help certified companies continually improve their compliance with ISO 9001 evaluation criteria.

ISO IEC 27001

Strong information and data security

ISO/IEC 27001 helps organisations manage information and data security by systematically assessing risks across their business systems, including threats, vulnerabilities and their potential impact. The aim of the standard is to provide a framework for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS).

GWÖ

Strong commitment to the common good

GEMEINWOHL ÖKONOMIE (GWÖ) stands for an alternative economic order: a liberal and ethical market economy not based on profit and competition, but on the common good and cooperation. Its aim is to reconcile the laws of the market economy with the fundamental values of democratic societies. A vision on an economic, social and political level. As a foundation for the future.
We share this vision, as does our company, Healthcare Convention. Our internal practices reflect these values, and we endeavour to propagate them externally and expand upon them in the future. We define relevant principles and requirements to ensure our business partners are aligned with our values.

gCMEp

Professional medical training

The mission of the Good CME Practice Group (gCMEp) is to promote professionalism within the European CME provider community, supporting the delivery of high-quality, independent education for healthcare professionals – with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.

Four core principles of the gCMEp

  1. Appropriate Education
Educational activities must have clear learning objectives based on performance gaps and unmet needs. Education must be designed to positively reinforce good practice and effect change in clinical practice, as appropriate.
  2. Balance
Balance needs to be evident in content, faculty and review. Content has to be developed independently of the sponsor and reflect the full clinical picture within the framework of the learning objectives.
  3. Transparency
All relevant information should be disclosed to the learner so that they understand fully how the content has been developed and presented. This includes the terms of the financial support and relevant disclosures of faculty and organisations involved.
  4. Effectiveness
Post-activity evaluation should measure satisfaction, knowledge uptake and intent to maintain or change behaviour in line with the learning objectives.
